As a leader in corporate America’s crusade to force the woke left-wing agenda on the American people, the Walt Disney Company has become a lightning rod in the culture war.
In fact, it’s become such a controversial company even Democrats’ deranged minions can’t seem to decide where they stand on the company.
And now the woke left-wing outrage mob is at each other’s throats over whether one new Disney movie should be canceled or praised.
When you wish upon a woke star . . .
As most everyone is aware, over the past two decades, Hollywood and the entertainment industry, in general, have almost completely lost the ability to create original content.
These days, all Hollywood does is recycle old movies, rewriting them to ensure that all of the woke radical left-wing indoctrination boxes are checked.
One of the latest examples of such lazy, left-wing brainwashing efforts is The Walt Disney Company’s new live-action version of The Little Mermaid.
Even before the movie premiered, many blasted Disney for rewriting numerous songs from the original Little Mermaid to promote woke left-wing talking points, including “Kiss the Girl,” which the woke left-wing outrage mob claimed promoted rape by suggesting Prince Eric forced himself on Ariel, and “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” which they claimed “might make young girls somehow feel that they shouldn’t speak out of turn.”
As a matter of fact, after the movie’s release, moviegoers reacted with such negative reviews of the film almost exclusively due to the woke left-wing indoctrination packed into it that IMDB altered its review system to compensate for what it alleged was “unusual activity” – which is, of course, code for a coverup.
But not all of the criticism has been against the woke indoctrination embedded in the film and has instead come from the woke left-wing outrage mob itself.
For example, after taking her daughters to see the new The Little Mermaid, woke British singer Paloma Faith blasted the movie, promoting what she deemed to be a message that a woman should give up her voice for a man.
Not woke enough?
“Just seen the new little mermaid with my kids and while I think Halle gives a good performance and it’s great casting, as a mother of girls I don’t want my kids to think it’s ok to give up your entire voice and your powers to love a man,” Faith wrote on Instagram.
“Wtf is this s—,” she added. “Not what I want to be teaching next gen women at all.”
In the original cartoon version of The Little Mermaid, Ariel makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to give up her voice in order to become human – her only wish in life – after which she meets and falls in love with Prince Eric.
Evie Magazine was one of the woke left-wing outlets leading the attack against Faith, pointing to the sequence of events in the story to attack such feminist arguments for apparently not understanding that falling in love was simply one of Ariel’s “human experiences” and not the reason she gave up her voice.
“Before you scream in feminist . . . Ariel in The Little Mermaid doesn’t give up her voice for a man,” Evie Magazine tweeted. “She gives up her voice to be human. Falling in love is one of her human experiences, but it wasn’t the reason. ‘Part of Your World’ literally is all about this.”
Others in the woke left-wing outrage mob piled on the British singer as well.
“I have no idea who [Faith] is and it doesn’t matter,” one Twitter user wrote. “I’m just embarrassed that someone could be this loud and wrong for a freaking 30 year old cartoon. Baby, @Palomafaith, Ariel gave up her voice to be human. A simple Google search and a Xanax could’ve saved this cringey moment.”
Another woke left-wing radical even went so far as to claim that feminist attacks against The Little Mermaid were all wrong because the film supposedly “encouraged me to pursue my dreams and ambitions.”
While some left-wing feminists may have had an issue with the movie’s message, they weren’t the only ones on the Left to take issue with the film for reasons based in woke extremism.
The New York Times’ movie critic Wesley Morris went so far as to whine that the PG-rated movie made almost exclusively for children was supposedly missing “kink.”
“The new, live-action The Little Mermaid is everything nobody should want in a movie: dutiful and defensive, yet desperate for approval,” Morris wrote in a review published by The Times. “It reeks of obligation and noble intentions. Joy, fun, mystery, risk, flavor, kink — they’re missing.”
Even when the woke left-wing outrage mob gets exactly what they want – completely rewriting and recasting a classic movie to fit their woke extremist views – it’s still not good enough for some.
No matter how far they go in their efforts to force their woke extremism on society, it will never be enough – they’re always going to keep coming back for more.
