NYC’s sick “do it yourself” abortion program might cripple the health care system

Oct 11, 2023

Pro-abortion extremist politicians have been stumbling over themselves to be even more pro-abortion since Roe v. Wade was repealed.

Democrats want nothing more than to expand abortion to its most extreme ends, regardless of the impact on women or the health care system.

And New York City’s latest move to pander to pro-abortion extremists shows just how sick these people really are.

New York City is creating an “ExpressCare” program for do-it-yourself abortion drugs

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is showing just how far he will go to increase the number of abortions performed in his city every day.

This month his administration unveiled a plan that they call “Virtual ExpressCare.”

The partnership between NYC Health + Hospitals and New York City will expand abortion services to telehealth.

That’s right, they are going to offer virtual visits for do-it-yourself abortions.

The service will be made available seven days a week and will allow women who haven’t seen a doctor in person to request abortion drugs.

The city claims that it will restrict the service for women up to 10 weeks in their pregnancy, but without an in-person consultation, it could easily be manipulated.

The move comes in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade in the summer of last year.

Radical Left Democrats have been working overtime to increase the number of abortions nationwide ever since.

Mayor Adams proudly announced the new service in a press conference last week.

Adams says that this is all about allowing women to make decisions “privately”

Adams said that he was looking to secure the freedom of choice following the decision by an “activist Supreme Court.”

“Here in New York City, we will not allow the far right to continue its crusade to strip women of their reproductive rights,” he said.

Adams is confident that “Telehealth abortion care allows the people in our lives to make the choices they need privately…so that they can decide what is best for them and their futures.”

“This is about protecting the ability for women to control their own bodies, their choices, and their freedoms,” he asserted.

The move by Adams is just another step towards increasing the number of abortions in their city.

In November of last year, the city spent over $1 million on the Abortion Access Hub.

Now Pro-Life activists are warning about the potential for dire consequences.

Chemical abortion drugs are leading to higher rates of emergency room visits

Critics are sounding the alarm after the expansion of the use of chemical abortion drugs, which they say are unsafe.

According to a study published by the NIH called “Immediate complications after medical compared with surgical termination of pregnancy,” chemical abortions often result in complications and the need for surgery.

The study showed a major increase of women seeking care at emergency rooms following chemical abortions.

The researchers found that visits have increased by over 500 percent from 2002 to 2015.

The drugs used in chemical abortions can result in hemorrhaging, infections, and incomplete abortions.

Sue Liebel, director of state affairs for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, says that the data isn’t even complete and data collection processes are “abysmal.”

Liebel says that women need in-person consultations if they are going to go forward with an abortion.

If the Radical Left cared about women’s health, then they wouldn’t be making decisions like this one.
