Jason Aldean just got surprise reinforcements from these three GOP White House hopefuls

Jul 24, 2023

The cancel culture mob has its sights set on its next victim.

The latest target of their supposed “social justice” rage is country music megastar Jason Aldean.

But these three Republican Presidential candidates are circling the wagons in Aldean’s defense.

The Left is triggered by Try That in a Small Town

Jason Aldean has released 38 singles – 24 of them have hit number one on the Billboard country charts.

And Aldean’s latest release is now number one on iTunes.

Try That in a Small Town is an ode to small town America – communities filled with hardworking, family-first Americans who buy Aldean albums.

Aldean says the song is about “the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences.”

As you can see in the above video, Aldean contrasts that feeling with the Black Lives Matter riots, Antifa mobs, and crimewaves sweeping through major metropolitan municipalities in the past few years.

Aldean gets canceled

Because Aldean is critical of the supposedly “mostly peaceful” riots and criminals running amok – that’s made him the latest target of leftist radicals who support and even cause the problem.

The MTV-owned Country Music Television has banned the hit music video from its airwaves and demanded an apology from Aldean.

To his credit, the AMC Artist of the Decade has refused to back down – and has instead doubled down.

“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests,” Aldean tweeted. “These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage.”

Of course, the facts have never stopped the leftist outrage mob from targeting those they don’t deem sufficiently committed to so-called “social justice.”

But Aldean isn’t fighting this battle alone.

The cavalry arrives

Fellow country stars, like the outspoken Travis Tritt, have rushed to Aldean’s side.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Jason Whitlock, the Hodgetwins, and Andy Ngo, the list of support is long and lasting.

And now, even Republican White House hopefuls are siding with Aldean in the controversy.

Former President Donald Trump acted as a character witness for the country music mega star.

“Jason Aldean is a fantastic guy who just came out with a great new song,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “Support Jason all the way. MAGA!!!”

Meanwhile, Trump’s biggest challenger in the 2024 GOP Presidential Primary, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, dropped a gem of wisdom. “When the media attacks you, you’re doing something right,” America’s Governor observed. “Jason Aldean has nothing to apologize for.”

And then Vivek Ramaswamy pointed to the hypocrisy of the leftist attacks against Aldean and his song.

“Jason Aldean writes a song defending the values that ALL Americans used to share – faith, family, hard work, patriotism – only to be immediately sacrificed at the altar of censorship & cancellation,” Ramaswamy tweeted. “These are the same people who cheer songs like Cop Killer and the glorification of sex and violence in hip-hop. Stand strong against these hypocrites and opportunist frauds, Jason Aldean.”

Ramaswamy added that he would begin playing the song at his political rallies.
