“Florida is where woke goes to die.”
That was the statement Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida boldly made to launch his second term running the Sunshine State.
And now America’s Governor is showing everyone how a head of state really protects women and children.
Ron to the Rescue
Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida is expected to make a Presidential announcement any day now.
If America’s Governor does run for the White House, he’ll be campaigning on an impressive list of accomplishments in the Sunshine State.
DeSantis has been busy signing bold conservative-populist legislation that fits with his war on woke – just as he promised his constituents he would.
“We reject this woke ideology – we seek normalcy, not philosophical lunacy,” DeSantis said during the swearing in ceremony for his second term as Governor. “We will not allow reality, facts, and truth to become optional. We will never surrender to the woke mob. Florida is where woke goes to die.”
Men in men’s rooms, women in women’s rooms
And last week DeSantis lived up to his word yet again.

The GOP-controlled Florida legislature has just passed and DeSantis signed into law a bill that assigns public bathrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms to be based on biological sex.
“Public bathrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms in Florida will have separate facilities based on biological sex,” DeSantis tweeted. “Our wives and daughters deserve protections from woke ideology run amok.”
The new law ensures educational institutions, detention facilities, correctional institutions, juvenile facilities, and public buildings with a restroom, locker room, or changing facility all have separate facilities for men and women based on biological sex.
DeSantis expanded on the motivations for the bill during the signing ceremony.
“We’re ensuring women’s safety,” DeSantis said to a rousing round of applause. “A woman should not be in a locker room having to worry about someone from the opposite sex being in their locker room. It’s happening with athletics with our girl athletes and women athletes. Also some of these other things, whether it’s a prison situation, whether it’s just these restrooms – we want to make sure our girls and our women are protected. This bill does that and makes sure they’re not going to be exposed to situations that are not in their best interest.”
DeSantis’ war on woke
This is just the latest bill DeSantis has signed just from this legislative session that has the woke Left in full meltdown mode.
America’s Governor has also expanded his Parental Rights in Education bill through middle school, banned gender-change operations and puberty blockers for minors, instituted age requirements for sexualized drag shows, made child rape a death penalty offense, banned abortions after six weeks, cracked down on the trafficking and manufacturing of fentanyl, outlawed New York-style cashless bail and early release reform, divested Florida’s retirement account from woke corporations like BlackRock, expanded the program flying illegal aliens to so-called “sanctuary cities,” ended Disney’s self-governing status, removed Critical Race Theory from Florida’s university system, and much more.
