This former NBA star’s woke attack on Ron DeSantis failed miserably after he was caught red-handed in a massive lie

The entire Democrat political machine has turned its guns on Ron DeSantis.

While Democrats have tried to wipe Donald Trump off the map for a whole host of reasons, it may actually be the Florida Governor they fear politically.

And now this former NBA star’s woke attack on Ron DeSantis failed miserably after he was caught red-handed in a massive lie.

From NBA stardom to woke extremism

Since leaving behind his NBA playing career in 2019, former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has kept himself busy with investments, like the minority stake of the Utah Jazz he purchased in 2021, and woke radical left-wing activism.

In fact, just for good measure, when he purchased his minority stake in the Jazz franchise, Wade took the opportunity to make it all about the fact that “people in my community don’t get this opportunity,” even though the number of athletes – namely, black athletes – becoming owners of major pro sports teams has skyrocketed in recent decades, with Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Magic Johnson, Warrick Dunn, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and many others amongst them.

Wade’s obsession with radical left-wing activism has largely been driven by his 15-year-old son, Zion, coming out first as a gay male, then as a transgender female, changing his name to Zaya.

“Me and my wife – my wife Gabrielle Union – we are proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community and we’re proud allies as well,” Wade told Ellen DeGeneres during the family’s 2020 media tour proudly announcing the transition. “We take our roles and responsibility as parents very seriously.”

It is important to note that Wade’s wife, the actress Gabrielle Union, is not Zion’s biological mother – and that the couple apparently views taking their “roles and responsibilities as parents very seriously” enough to reach out to the all-gay cast of a TV series to ask for parenting tips.

Nevertheless, in continuing his left-wing activism, the 13-time NBA All-Star recently claimed that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ Parental Rights in Education bill led him and Union to relocate their family from Miami to Los Angeles.

Let’s check the receipts

During an interview with former ESPN and CNN reporter Rachel Nichols on Showtime’s Headliners, Wade claimed policies like the Parental Rights in Education bill made his family “not feel comfortable” in Florida, even though Miami-Dade County board of commissioners honored his Heat career by renaming itself “Miami-Wade County” for one week in 2010 – the week he just happened to became a free agent prior to LeBron James and Chris Bosh’s arrival that summer – in an attempt to keep him from leaving the franchise.

“That’s another reason why I don’t live in that state,” Wade claimed of DeSantis’ bill. “A lot of people don’t know that. I have to make decisions for my family, not just personal, individual decisions. I mean, obviously, the tax [situation] is great. Having Wade County is great. But my family would not be accepted or feel comfortable there. And so that’s one of the reasons why I don’t live there.”

However, when Wade first moved from Florida to California after retiring in 2019, he claimed there was a different reason he and his family moved – his wife’s acting career in LA.

“We miss Miami,” Wade told People in February 2020. “Of course, that definitely had become home to us, especially my kids. But my wife works in LA, my daughters lived in LA with my wife, so we’ve got to go. My home is where my family is.”

Wade has had a very public battle with his ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, Zion’s biological mother, over their child’s gender identity.

In fact, Funches-Wade has publicly claimed that the former NBA player only embraced the child’s transition because of the notoriety and money that would come with it.

Wade denied the accusation that he would “[force] our 15 year old child to be someone she’s not and to do something against her will,” and claimed that his ex-wife was merely “centering herself and HER needs, without regard to her children.”

Regardless, Dwyane Wade, like all left-wing radicals, has been caught red-handed lying about the reason he moved his family to Los Angeles in a despicable attempt to slander Governor DeSantis.

But you won’t hear a peep about it in the media – because the truth simply doesn’t fit their narrative.
