Pete Buttigieg just learned the hard way there is no pleasing his radical base

The woke Left can’t rely on logic and reason; it really only has one weapon: bullying and intimidation.

Conservatives and moderates are terrified, running afoul of being canceled by the woke mob.

But now, the woke radicals are going after their own, and Pete Buttigieg is now squarely in the crosshairs of the cancel culture mob.

Buttigieg’s rotten record

There are plenty of reasons for American voters to question President Joe Biden’s hand-picked Secretary of Transportation.

More than two and a half years into his position, Pete Buttigieg still has yet to fix the supply chain problems caused largely by pandemic lockdowns that have put objects like automobiles out of reach for hard-working Americans.

Next, he claimed that roads are racist, and yes, he was being serious.

And then, there was his embarrassing handling of the toxic train derailment.

On February 3rd, a derailment of a Norfolk Southern train in East Palestine, Ohio, dumped highly volatile vinyl chloride on the ground and into the water of the area.

Biden’s EPA decided to do a chemical burn with the spill, releasing the carcinogen into the air.

According to the Post Millennial, local residents reported a chemical smell in the air, as well as dead fish and other animals, like chickens.

It took three weeks, from the time of the derailment and chemical spill, before Buttigieg finally arrived at the scene.

And once he finally showed up to do his job, Biden’s Transportation Secretary refused to answer questions from journalists.

It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that Buttigieg has struggled in his role and with his responsibilities.

After all, his lone credentials for such an important position are eight years as Mayor of South Bend, Indiana – a town of just 100,000 residents – and, apparently, being gay.

But that didn’t stop the Democrat voter base from showering praise on Mayor Pete.

He was one of the frontrunners in the party’s 2020 Presidential primary, tapped to join President Biden’s cabinet and even long rumored to be a leading candidate to succeed Biden as the face of the party.

However, the same base that once sung Buttigieg’s praises is now turning on the Leftist politician.

Why?

Because, for their taste, he’s not radical enough.

Buttigieg flees his screaming base

Buttigieg was the featured speaker at a liberal policy event in Baltimore, Maryland.

But instead of rolling out the red carpet, left-wing activists shut down the event and sent the Transportation Secretary running for the exits.

It was a bullying exercise Leftists usually reserved for the likes of Ben Shapiro, Ann Coulter, or Riley Gaines.

As you can see in the above video, the mob of protestors interrupted Buttigieg’s portion of the event, bum-rushed the stage, shouted insane questions, and then hurled verbal attacks at Buttigieg when he couldn’t readily provide the answers they not only expected but were demanding.

It probably didn’t help matters that the sitting Secretary of Transportation, in an effort to appease the environmental extremists, said he wasn’t prepared to “speak off the cuff” on the topic of Sea Port and Gulf Link oil terminals.

The rabid protestors from Climate Defiance stole the stage with a sign calling Buttigieg, “Petro Pete.”

The so-called “social justice warriors” screamed things like, “This is about environmental racism.”

Buttigieg can then be seen fleeing the scene to escape the cancel-culture mob.

Climate Defiance wasn’t at all embarrassed by their radical and speech-freezing tactics.

“We just chased Secretary Pete Buttigieg off the stage at the Meyerhoff Symphony,” the group proudly bragged in a tweet. “Petro Pete is a coward. As we write he is ramming down our throats the Sea Port and GulfLink oil terminals – each worse than Keystone. We must resist him with all we’ve got. And we will.”

This is a sure sign the far-left fully plans on continuing to use bullying tactics to silence opposition into submission.

To them, the ends justify the means.

And with each passing day, the United States is getting closer to mob rule.
