Joe Biden’s record as President of the United States can be summed up in a single word: embarrassing.
And it’s only gotten worse for the incumbent POTUS after his bumbling efforts, following the terrorist attacks in Israel, have impressed no one.
And now, President Biden’s bad month just got worse when he saw one thing that has him waking up from his dreams of re-election to face a cold, harsh reality.
Biden’s bad record is only getting worse
President Joe Biden’s only sitting in the Oval Office after supposedly “winning” one of the closest and most controversial Presidential elections in U.S. history.
Despite a majority of American voters not wanting the President to seek re-election in 2024, Biden has stubbornly decided to plow forward seeking a second term in the White House.
However, the combination of an abysmal economy, record-breaking inflation and gas prices, surging crime, a crisis on the southern border, an epidemic of drug overdoses, chaos in schools, and embarrassments in his handling of Afghanistan, Ukraine, and now Israel, President Biden’s future prospects are heavily in doubt.
And it’s not helping the incumbent President that some of his most loyal voting constituencies are losing faith in his abilities.
Biden’s struggles keeping Hispanic voters on the blue bandwagon have been well documented as the Latino vote evolves from a Democrat lock to a swing vote.
The surveys show that trendline was proven true in the 2022 midterms.
It gets worse for the 46th President of the United States.
Polling analysis shows Biden has the lowest support from the black community for a democrat Presidential candidate since Jimmy Carter’s Vice President Walter Mondale lost to Ronald Reagan all the way back in 1984.
And the crosstab of the latest poll is providing new reasons for the President to doubt his re-election prospects.
Who is left to vote for Biden?
A new survey from Gallup has his rating sitting 22-points underwater in his approval rating, tying his lowest approval rating since he took the oath of office.
Only 37% of voters approve of the Biden Administration, down from 41% last month.
The fact is, Biden has the second-lowest approval at this point in a Presidency of any Commander-in-Chief since Gallup started tracking the ratings.
Only Jimmy Carter had the worst approval in his 11th quarter as President.
Meanwhile, 59% of Americans disapprove of the job Biden is doing as President.
And the deeper you dig into those numbers, the worse it gets for the President.
According to Gallup, only 35% of independent voters approve of Biden’s job.
And the President is even now starting to lose the confidence of his own party base.
Biden only had 75% approval from Democrats in the Gallup poll.
That’s an 11-point decline in Democrat support from the same survey last month.
If Biden has any hope to secure re-election, he’ll need heavy turnout from Democrats and a strong showing with independents.
The Gallup poll puts the President’s ability to accomplish either of those items in serious doubt.
