Back in 2016, Dr. Jordan Peterson made a name for himself fighting against compelled speech in his home country of Canada.
Since then, he’s become one of the biggest names and brightest thinkers within the conservative-populist movement in North America.
And now Dr. Peterson has turned to poetry to drop an epic truth bomb on Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan over her latest plot to steal more of your freedom.
Red states vs. blue states
Perhaps no issue more than gender dysphoria is driving a deeper divide between red and blue states.
Several red states have passed legislation this year banning gender-changing surgeries and puberty blockers for minors and protecting young girls by keeping men out of their bathrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, and sports teams.
Meanwhile, blue states are passing legislation to take children away from parents who won’t let them transition to the opposite gender.
And now Michigan is looking to lock up anyone who doesn’t play along with the “preferred pronoun” game.
New pronoun laws coming to Michigan?
A bill is making its way through the Wolverine State legislature that would criminalize misgendering a trans individual.
The proposal making it a felony to “intimidate” trans people by intentionally using the pronoun fitting their birth has already passed the Michigan House of Representatives.
Under the proposed law, offenders would face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
That’s right, prison time and a massive fine for speaking non-violent words.
This would be a first of its kind in the U.S., supposed “hate speech” law blatantly defying the First Amendment.
And it will certainly have a chilling effect on free speech.
The bill now moves to the Michigan State Senate, where it will face debate and a vote.
Democrats have a two-seat majority in the body, giving the unconstitutional proposal a good chance of passing.
From there, the only thing stopping it from becoming the law of the land in Michigan is Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s signature.
Gov. Whitmer is a radical leftist and is expected to sign the bill should it make it out of the State Senate.
She’s signed other legislation granting special rights to the self-proclaimed “queer community” already this year.
“Our LGBTQ+ friends, family, and neighbors deserve equal protection under the law so they can live their authentic lives,” Whitmer said after signing a bill that forces medical professionals to play along with the delusions of trans people back in March. “I want everyone to know that Michigan is a place that will fight for your freedom to be yourself.”

Enter Dr. Jordan Peterson.
Dr. Peterson made himself a virtual household name by fighting a similar piece of legislation in Canada forcing people to use “preferred pronouns” or face punishment by the government.

Peterson is no more a fan of the unconstitutional Michigan law than he was of the one he fought in the Great White North.
The clinical psychologist and renowned lecturer formed his complaint about the bill in an eloquent free verse poem in a tweet on Twitter.

Some users commenting on Peterson’s tweet suggested boycotting the state of Michigan over the legislation.
If it becomes law, it will likely be challenged all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States on free speech violation grounds.
