Hollywood likes to pretend it’s the land of tolerance and freedom, but woe to those who think for themselves.
Actors and actresses who think for themselves can quickly find themselves on the outs of the Hollywood elite.
And now Hollywood blacklisted this famous actress for one insane reason.
51-year-old actress Drea de Matteo got her big break in 1999 when David Chase cast her as Adriana La Cerva, the girlfriend of gangster Christopher Moltisanti, on the groundbreaking HBO drama The Sopranos.
De Matteo later starred in the FX hit Sons of Anarchy.
And then de Matteo vanished off the face of the entertainment industry map.
De Matteo recently made headlines by joining the racy subscription service website OnlyFans, where she would sell exclusive content and messaging to fans.
The media and social media mobs mocked de Matteo for supposedly “falling from grace” after breaking out on The Sopranos – the show that kicked off the golden age of television – to selling pictures of herself online.
But de Matteo explained that she needed to work, and Hollywood refused to cast her in major roles due to the fact that she opposed COVID vaccine mandates and refused to comply.
In an interview with Fox News, de Matteo stated that she had a family to provide for and that she would take care of her daughters no matter what.
“I know some people have said some nasty things about me having joined OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is mommy’s a warrior, not accepting defeat,” de Matteo said in the interview.
“I figured, ‘OK, so everybody’s in their underwear and being sexy on Instagram and I don’t do that, but I can do that and get paid for it.’ … I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner,” de Matteo continued.
De Matteo believes in a traditional role for motherhood and stays at home to raise her kids.
“Things have changed in the last three years. My kids have always been my No. 1 focus. Had I known that I could work out of my closet my whole life, I never would have [believed]. … I know that might sound crazy and might sound somewhat lazy, but I am a very big supporter of stay-at-home moms and women who really love to raise their children. I balanced it all, and I’ve done it all,” de Matteo told Fox News.
But because Hollywood blackballed her over her refusal to obey Dr. Fauci’s every COVID mandate, she was forced to shift gears to provide for her family.
“But I’m 51. I didn’t know this was going to have to be a change of life, you know, all of a sudden that during a time I’m supposed to be relaxing a little bit, that I would have to switch careers and figure new things out because my own industry thinks I’m, you know, a savage,” de Matteo stated.
“I guess you could say I was a bad girl because I did not follow the rules a couple of years ago. So, I don’t want to be at the mercy of mandates or strike or anything like that ever again,” de Matteo concluded.
