JK Rowling is a talented writer who created the popular Harry Potter series; she’s also far to the Left on the political spectrum.
However, there is one issue where the famous feminist disagrees with progressive leftists, and that one issue is enough to make her a target of the cancel culture mob.
And now the visionary creator of Hogwarts has committed to doing jail time rather than cave to social justice warriors on this pivotal issue.
JK Rowling just says “no”
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has one issue where she breaks away from radical woke dogma: gender identity.
If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.

As a feminist, Rowling takes issue with men claiming to be women because they stuff a bra and throw on a dress.
And the best-selling fantasy author of all time isn’t shy about sharing her feelings about letting men with wigs into female-safe spaces.
Most recently, Rowling stirred the LGBT hornets’ nest with a simple two-lettered tweet.

Rowling posted a picture showing a projection on a wall at the United Nations.
The projects read, “Repeat After Us: Transwomen Are Women.”
The award-winning novelist, whose books typically run about 200,000 words, summed up her reaction in the simplest way possible.
“No,” Rowlings captioned the photo.
The UK’s new potential hate speech law
However, one commenter quickly reminded Rowlings that if she doesn’t tow the line, she could be writing her next novel from the inside of a prison cell.
Vote Labour, get a two year stretch!

“Vote Labour, get a two-year stretch,” one twitter user posted.
As the Daily Mail has reported, the Labour government in the UK is pushing for a new law that would make verbal “attacks” motivated by “hatred” of the victim’s gender identity into “aggravated offenses.”
To put it more plainly, Britain’s left-wing party wants to criminalize intentionally misgendering someone with gender dysphoria, or anyone who’s caught the genderless social contagion.
The law would work hand-in-hand with other so-called “hate crimes” in the UK that impart harsher punishments on physical assaults supposedly motivated by hatred on the grounds of race or religion.
JK Rowling proves to be a true Gryffindor
However, Rowling made it clear, even if Labour’s new hate speech law passes, she has no plans on complying.
I'll happily do two years if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex. Bring on the court case, I say. It'll be more fun than I've ever had on a red carpet.

“I’ll happily do two years if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex,” Rowling tweeted.
In fact, she seemed excited about the prospects of challenging the potential law in the UK court system.
“Bring on the court case, I say,” Rowling continued. “It’ll be more fun than I’ve ever had on a red carpet.”
The mind behind Harry Potter went on to joke to her 14-million Twitter followers about what prison life will be like for her.
“Hoping for the library, obviously, but I think I could do ok in the kitchens,” Rowling tweeted. “Laundry might be a problem. I have a tendency to shrink stuff/turn it pink accidentally. Guessing that won’t be a major issue if it’s mostly scrubs and sheets, though.”
It appears Rowling is taking advice from the words of one of her most famous creations, Albus Dumbledore.
“Those who . . . have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well.”
