Meghan Markle is one of the most controversial members of the British Royal Family in anyone’s lifetime.
Markle’s been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump.
And Donald Trump had one challenge for Meghan Markle that turned heads across the globe.
Donald Trump’s interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt began on a lighthearted note about how Trump planned to skip the second GOP Presidential Debate later this month.
Hewitt suggested if Trump planned to skip the event, he should debate Meghan Markle instead.
Trump blasted Markle and her husband Prince Harry for smearing the Royal Family as racists.
Trump also expressed displeasure with how Markle and Prince Harry mistreated Queen Elizabeth, whom Trump expressed admiration for.
“Well, I don’t know that they don’t like me. I said that I don’t think they are very appropriate what they’re saying, what they’re doing, and I didn’t like the way she dealt with the Queen. I became very friendly with the Queen. She was an incredible woman. At 95, she was so sharp. She was 100%,” Trump told Hewitt.
“I think it’s not a good situation going on with the two of them, but I didn’t know that they don’t like me. Somebody mentioned it might be possible. They wouldn’t be the only ones,” Trump added.
Hewitt teased Trump that a debate between he and Markle would be a ratings blockbuster.
“But I mean, that would get ratings, wouldn’t it,” Hewitt responded.
Trump then joked that he would love to debate Markle, as he’s not happy with Markle and Harry’s woke political activism.
“Oh, if you want to set it up, let’s set it up. Let’s go do something. I’ll, I’d love to debate her. I would love it. I disagree so much with what… I disagree so much with what they’re doing,” Trump answered.
Trump and Markle have a history.
In 2016, Markle smeared Trump as “misogynistic” and declared her support for Hillary Clinton.
“Yes, of course, Trump is divisive, think about female voters alone, right … I think it was in 2012 the Republican Party lost the female vote by 12 points — that is a huge number, and with as misogynistic as Trump is, and so vocal about it, that’s a huge chunk of it,” Markle said at the time.
When Trump won the Presidency, he fired back, calling Markle “nasty” and saying that U.S. taxpayer would not pay for Markle and Harry’s security when they moved to the United States.
Markle is an unpopular and controversial figure who failed as a podcast host.
Harry and Markle’s baseless claims about the Royal Family being racists turned them into some of the biggest celebrity villains in the world.
A Trump-Markle debate would be a global spectacle, but it is highly unlikely to ever take place.
