President Joe Biden has been an embarrassment on the world stage.
From sniffing children and groping women – to falling up stairs and off bikes – to stuttering and stammering his way through sentences.
And now Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah is using a classic episode of The Office to point out the cruelty of President Biden’s ineptitude.
SCOTUS vs. POTUS
In the lead up to the 2022 Midterms, the Biden Administration devised a plan to kill two birds with one stone.
Last August, President Joe Biden pushed forward one of his biggest usurpations of power when, with a stroke of the pen, he tried to wipe several hundreds of billions of dollars off the book without the consent of Congress.
Through an executive order, Joe Biden sought to initiate one of the largest transfers of wealth in world history.
By doing so, he would’ve seized upwards of a trillion dollars from American workers who didn’t go to college or who had sacrificed and worked hard to pay off their student debt and handed it on a silver platter to college students and grads with no intentions of paying off their obligations.
The executive order had two aims – first, to energize the Democrat base ahead of the midterms.
And second, to entice more of America’s youth to enroll in universities that will brainwash students with Leftist propaganda.
However, in a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled Biden overstepped his Constitutional powers by not going through Congress for his student loan bailout.
Now that SCOTUS has taken the bailout off the table, the President is promising he’ll find another way to keep his handouts and freebies coming to Democrat voters.
Mike Lee vs. Joe Biden
But Utah’s Senior Senator, Republican Mike Lee, is using Biden’s recent failure to compare him to a far more lovable loser from the silver screen.
1. On one episode of The Office, Michael Scott remembered that 13 years earlier he had promised an entire class of kindergartners that, if they worked hard and graduated from high school, he’d pay for them to go to college. He ended up buying them laptop batteries. pic.twitter.com/W5u1RhAdxD

In a hilarious series of tweets, Lee drew a comparison between Biden’s student loan bailout to Michael Scott’s “Scott’s Tots” promise in a classic episode of The Office.
In the episode, Steve Carell’s character gets swept away in his need to please and be loved and promises a group of elementary schoolers that he’ll pay for their college education if they graduate high school.
2. They were understandably devastated, and then furious—especially when they realized he never had the wherewithal to make that promise.

However, much like the U.S. Government doesn’t have the resources to provide all American students with free higher education – and nor would it be a good idea even if it did – Dunder Mifflin’s leader of the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch didn’t possess the funds necessary to pay for an entire class to go to college for free.
“Like Michael Scott, he (President Biden) promised to do something he never had the power to do,” Lee tweeted in the series.
3. I can’t help but wonder how many people feel let down by @POTUS’s promise today. Like Michael Scott, he promised to do something he never had the power to do.
— Mike Lee (@BasedMikeLee) June 30, 2023
Last August, college students and recent graduates were singing the President’s praises for bailing them out of a situation they created.
Much the same as “Scott’s Tots” sang to the misguided paper salesman in the episode.
“Hey Mr. Scott, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do, make our dreams come true!” the students sang.
4. It was an act of cruelty by @POTUS to offer help he could not legally provide.
— Mike Lee (@BasedMikeLee) June 30, 2023
And Lee points out that while Scott’s promise was well intentioned, Biden’s decidedly was not.
The President knew he was overstepping his authority with his executive order, and he knew he was punishing millions of Americans in the process.
7. Like Michael Scott, @POTUS wanted credit for helping people—so much so that he was willing to harm them by misrepresenting his ability to deliver on an outlandish promise.
— Mike Lee (@BasedMikeLee) June 30, 2023
See, Michael Scott was promising to pay out of his own pocket.
Whereas Biden – one of the least charitable President’s in U.S. history – was promising to do so with other people’s money.
8. To be perfectly clear, one should expect a laptop battery here, as @POTUS’s comparably outlandish climate-change commitments would make that impossible too.
— Mike Lee (@BasedMikeLee) June 30, 2023
Lee concludes that Scott was even able to one-up Biden in the backup plan department.
Scott, while facing his failure, to celebrate the students’ accomplishment of getting through high school, at least provided them with free lithium batteries to power the laptops they would use in college.
Meanwhile, according to Sen. Lee, fans of Biden shouldn’t even expect that much as a consolation prize.
“To be perfectly clear, one shouldn’t expect a laptop battery here, as POTUS’s comparably outlandish climate-change commitments would make that impossible too.”
