When Fox News “parted ways” with Tucker Carlson, Democrats everywhere cheered as they thought it would be the end of the most influential primetime cable news host in America.
But things haven’t gone exactly according to plan, and now Democrats are desperate to deliver a knockout blow that keeps him sidelined permanently.
And now this left-wing group thought they had the bombshell to end Tucker Carlson. But it just blew up in their face.
Taking their best shots
Since he rose to prominence as the most watched primetime cable news host on television, Tucker Carlson has been a top target of the woke left-wing outrage mob.
Radical left-wing groups have constantly attempted to smear and slander Carlson, using whatever means they can, even when their “dirt” is rather lacking.
Unsurprisingly, the bulk of those attacks have centered around the idea that he – like everyone who simply disagrees with their radical woke agenda – is racist, sexist, homophobic, and all of the other woke greatest hits.
In fact, back in 2019, Media Matters – the George Soros-funded radical left-wing group whose literal only purpose is destroying Fox News and other more conservative media outlets by any means necessary – released recordings of appearances Carlson made on a Florida-based “shock jock” radio program in the early 2000s, in which he and the host made off-color jokes.
Carlson’s comments ranged from the fact that he thought a current news story about an adult male attempting to consensually marry a girl under the age of 18 wasn’t as bad as an adult sexually assaulting a minor against their will – an objectively true statement – to saying that former President Bill Clinton would be happier if he divorced Hillary and married “a bunch of teenagers in a foreign country” – a joke that now seems prophetic considering Clinton’s frequent visit to Jeffrey Epstein’s Little St. James Island and other properties.
Of course, the attacks only served to give Fox News executives a headache for a few days as advertisers threatened boycotts, but as everyone is aware, it certainly didn’t stop Carlson.
In fact, it may have made him stronger.
Nevertheless, with Democrats smelling blood in the water, Media Matters fired up their left-wing attack machine once again this week and aimed it right at the now-former Fox News host.
Epic fail
In a series of releases, Media Matters attempted to discredit Carlson with leaked tapes of him conversing with others while in between shows inside the Fox News studios.
In one clip, Carlson can be seen joking that one unnamed person off the screen looks “yummy” before he immediately joked, “Just kidding, in case this is being pulled off the bird . . . Hey, Media Matters, go f**k yourself,” once again showing he has slight prophetic abilities.

In another, Carlson joked that he can never assess his own appearance on-camera and instead waits “for my postmenopausal fans to weigh in on that.”

As always, Democrats and the media acted incredulously, seemingly pretending as though this was going to be the bombshell that finally ensured the most influential host in all of traditional media remained sidelined for good.
However, the reaction to the supposed “bombshells” was nowhere close to what the Left expected.
As City Journal writer Christopher Rufo put it, “Thank you for confirming that Tucker is a normal, down-to-earth, very funny person. Great work, as always, Media Matters, curating excellent conservative content.”
Political commentator Ian Miles Cheong echoed a similar sentiment, pointing out that “Media Matters really thought they had something with these leaks of Tucker Carlson telling jokes while off the air.”
“They really, really, thought they had something with it,” he added. “Anyone with a sense of humor can assess that the things Tucker said, like MMFA itself, are in fact, jokes.”
Other working class users simply flooded the comments to note that they believed Carlson came off as “funny and relatable.”
