One of the worst-kept secrets in Washington, D.C., is the fact that the Biden regime’s press briefings are completely staged productions.
Self-proclaimed “journalists” presubmit questions, the regime decides which they’ll answer, they pre-write the answers, and they even choreograph the order the questions will be asked.
But now the White House press corps erupted on Karine Jean-Pierre after one sentence on Joe Biden’s “cheat sheet” was exposed.
The Biden regime’s nightmare
During a joint press conference with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Wednesday, a photographer snapped a picture that showed President Joe Biden’s “cheat sheet,” which included a pre-submitted question from a Los Angeles Times reporter with his answer pre-written as well.
The cheat sheet even included the reporter’s name, Courtney Subramanian, and indicated that Biden should call on her for the question first – and sure enough, when he called on her, she asked the question almost verbatim.
President Biden has, of course, utilized such cheat sheets throughout his Presidency, as his handlers learned to utilize them to ensure he doesn’t get lost on stage.
On multiple other occasions, Biden has been seen with similar sheets that included instructions such as when he should sit, speak, pose for pictures, and even when and where to exit.
He even once inadvertently held up a note in front of the White House press corps that a staffer passed him to tell him to wipe his chin because something was on it.
Needless to say, it hasn’t been the best look for Democrats and media talking heads who have claimed President Biden’s age is not a factor going into 2024.
But for Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre – who has been exposed for utilizing the exact same system for herself, with the only difference being she utilizes an entire binder of “cheat sheets” rather than just one – it’s been a total nightmare.
And during a recent White House press briefing, several reporters, who clearly aren’t part of the regime’s media circle of trust, peppered her with questions about why and how the President’s cheat sheet would have a reporter’s question pre-written with a pre-written answer before she asks that question almost verbatim.
Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich kicked things off by asking Jean-Pierre “why the President needed” the sheet in the first place.
But the Press Secretary was prepared with an answer absolutely no rational human can buy.
There’s definitely nothing to see here
According to Jean-Pierre, the question written on the sheet was totally different from the question Subramanian asked because she didn’t ask the question exactly verbatim.
Apparently, in her world, asking the question in an ever so slightly different way, only changing a few words, somehow means a totally different question was asked.
Furthermore, Jean-Pierre claimed that the fact that they had the reporter’s question pre-written on the sheet nearly verbatim was merely the result of the White House communications office being able to predict the exact questions reporters will ask and exactly when they will ask them.
“It is entirely normal for a President to be briefed on reporters who will be asking questions at a press conference and issues we expect they might ask about,” Jean-Pierre claimed. “It is not surprising that yesterday, we would anticipate questions that he did receive on the visit with the South Korean President.”
“Let’s not forget, we do these briefings everyday and a lot of the questions that you all tell me, that’s how we brief him as well,” she added. “We do not have specific questions in advance, that is not something that we do and in fact, I would point out that the question that was asked was different than what was on the card that you all saw.”
From there, The Daily Caller’s Diana Glebova asked about the White House’s process for selecting the reporters scheduled to ask questions.
But that too, Jean-Pierre claimed, was totally a coincidence, as the regime reaches out to a number of reporters, and tries to select those who haven’t asked questions in some time.
“We are mindful on who we pick and who we communicate out to and how we move forward with [ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Mary Bruce] and Courtney,” Jean-Pierre said. “We thought that is pretty reasonable wanting to, as we have the South Korean President during this press conference, because we also wanted to communicate with the Korean American.”
But that’s not exactly the process those inside the White House press briefing room have described.
Today News Africa White House correspondent Simon Ateba has been an outspoken critic of the Biden White House’s dealings with the press for years now, blasting the regime for only calling on handpicked, friendly reporters, while ignoring those from smaller outlets, or those that don’t carry the regime’s water.
“It’s been a disaster, a total catastrophe, a real nightmare covering the Biden White House,” Ateba said last year. “Right now, I’m the voice of Africa in the U.S. — but I can confirm that the level of discrimination against me and against African journalists in the White House is astounding, it’s disgraceful.”
“Even as President Biden is about to receive 50 African heads of state in D.C. for the U.S.-African summit, she didn’t give us even a single question,” he added. “I’ve been trying for the past three months.”
Needless to say, Joe Biden’s “cheat sheet” continues to create more and more headaches for the Biden regime.
