Only former President Donald Trump has a more likely shot of representing the GOP at the top of the 2024 Presidential ticket than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
But though he still needs to survive the Primary, DeSantis has his aim locked firmly on President Joe Biden.
And America’s Governor just explained to Tomi Lahren exactly how he plans to unseat Biden.
DeSantis vs. Biden
Former President Donald Trump is the strong favorite to win the Republican Presidential Primary and once again represent the GOP in the general election.
A distant second – but well ahead of the rest of the also-rans in the crowded field – is Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida.
DeSantis has been the leading voice in the United States, taking on the radical Left’s woke agenda.
America’s Governor has spearheaded a number of effective, socially-conservative policies as Governor that have made him one of the Left’s most hated opponents.
According to DeSantis, “Florida is where woke goes to die,” and he’s hoping to bring that mantra to the White House with him.
And if he gets the opportunity to face incumbent Democrat President Joe Biden in the 2024 general election, DeSantis already has a plan in place for victory.
DeSantis is fighting for parental rights
In an interview with Outkick reporter Tomi Lahren, DeSantis divulged the Primary issue he plans to use against Biden.
DeSantis said the Left is targeting its radical agenda at America’s children – but a DeSantis White House would empower parents, just as he’s done in the Sunshine State.
“I think it’s somewhat of a sleeper issue because the media doesn’t really understand the potency, but when you start talking about people like Biden and his ilk, what they’re saying is, ‘These are all of our kids,’ that it is not just your kids,” DeSantis said. “We are the parents. We have the fundamental right to direct their education and upbringing, and here is the thing, that is a view of the primacy of parents. That is not just a Republican view. It is not just an independent view. There are a lot of Democrat parents who agree with us on this.”
DeSantis points out that Democrats are trying to replace parents with government officials – and the media is covering it up.
“The media will say somehow by us standing up for parents, we’re just trying to engage in a ‘culture war,'” DeSantis said. “Let me tell you, the Left is the one that’s waging the culture war; we are simply standing up and fighting back against that and standing up for the freedom of our families to raise their kids the way they see fit.”
DeSantis vs. Trump
According to DeSantis, the Biden Administration’s war on parents is one of the Democrat’s presumptive nominee’s biggest weaknesses.
And he doesn’t believe the 45th President of the United States is in any position to take Biden to task on the issue.
“I think identifying Donald Trump as really being a pioneer in injecting gender ideology into the mainstream, where he was having men compete against women in his beauty pageants, I think that’s totally fair game,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis believes his efforts in Florida and the fight of people like Jordan Peterson and Riley Gaines to stand up for women and parents has pushed Trump to the right on the issue.
“He’s now campaigning, saying the opposite, that he doesn’t think that you should have men competing in women’s things like athletics,” DeSantis concluded.
