While children in countries like China and Sweden are learning math and science, American children are being brainwashed with radical “woke” ideologies.
In many cases, the lesson plans being taught to young children are so vulgar that they cannot be read aloud without causing controversy.
But Chuck Schumer nearly lost his lunch after hearing these eye opening quotes.
Much of America’s youth are not getting the education they need
America lags behind many other prosperous nations when it comes to math and science scores.
A closer look at the curriculum taught in many American classrooms reveals why.
Instead of honing their math and writing abilities, many young children are being brainwashed by the radical Left, who uses previous classroom time to project their extreme political ideology.
On Tuesday, the Senate held a hearing entitled “Book Bans: Examining How Censorship Limits Liberty and Literature.”
During this hearing, lawmakers took a closer look at some of the books which have been banned in some school districts due to their graphic nature.
Predictably, the radical Left is infuriated about any of their books being banned, likening them to Nazism and other extreme ideologies.
In order to emphasize the danger of the books which have been banned, Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana read experts from some banned books.
One such commonly banned book, “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” a book about a black gender queer adolescent, contained passages about condom use and sexual exploration.
Attending the hearing was Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, who came to Washington to defend a new Illinois law which forbids the banning of books “for political reasons.”
After reading sexually explicit experts from “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” Senator Kennedy asked Giannoulias, “Mr. Secretary, what are you asking us to do? Are you suggesting that only librarians should decide whether the two books that I just referenced should be available to kids?”
Giannoulias replied, “With all due respect, Senator, the words you spoke are disturbing, especially coming out of your mouth, it’s very disturbing. But I would also tell you that we’re not advocating for kids to read porn.”
He added, “We are advocating for parents, random parents, not to have the ability under the guise of keeping kids safe to try and challenge the worldview of every single manner on these issues.”
While not “advocating” for kids to read porn, the Democrats were certainly not in favor of protecting children from porn.
There is a line between censorship and protecting children from pornography
During last Tuesday’s hearing, Senator Kennedy and the panel of witnesses agreed that censorship in general is problematic.
What they could not agree on is where the line falls between censorship and protecting children from explicit material.
It appears as if the liberal witnesses did not want any sexually explicit material banned on the grounds that it could lead to all LGBT-themed books being banned.
However, if these LGBT books contain sexually explicit material, it is hard to see what value they have for children.
Most parents would agree that such smut has no place in America’s schools.
