Fox News is undergoing a major direction change after the network parted ways with host Tucker Carlson.

But Axios reported that Carlson is ready to start fighting back against Fox so he can get back to work in the media.
Sources told the outlet that Carlson’s allies are preparing to attack Fox News to pressure them to release him from his contract.
An anonymous source close to Carlson said that he “knows where a lot of bodies are buried, and is ready to start drawing a map.”
“They’re coming to him and saying: ‘Do you want me to hit Fox?’” a friend of Carlson’s told Axios. “He’s been saying: ‘No. I want to get this done quiet and clean.'”
Clearly, Carlson’s team is quietly preparing for war with Fox if the network drags its feet.
“Now, we’re going from peacetime to Defcon 1,” the friend continued. “His team is preparing for war. He wants his freedom.”
Carlson hired high-powered entertainment lawyer Bryan Freedman to negotiate a release from his contract.
Freedman helped negotiate former Fox News host Megyn Kelly’s release from NBC after she was let go by the network.
“The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous,” Freedman said in a statement.
Carlson is busy plotting his next move while he tries to get out from underneath his Fox contract.
He took the media world by storm by announcing he would take his show to Twitter and broadcast it there.

Carlson is reportedly also mulling over going independent completely and taking his work directly to his fans with his own media empire.
Former Fox News hosts Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly have found success with their own independent media ventures centered around podcasts.
Fox competitors Newsmax and One American News Network have both reached out through the press to Carlson with significant offers to come on board.
Free speech video-sharing site Rumble, a YouTube competitor, also is prepared to offer him a deal to host his content if he branches out on his own.
Carlson told his fans, “See you soon,” in a viral video on Twitter shortly after his show was taken off the airwaves.
Whatever he chooses to do, it’ll be the most significant move in the conservative media sphere in years once his contract with Fox News is settled.
